Cessar
Cessar was born César Augusto Vargas Barocio (January 24, 1971) in Monterrey, Nuevo León, México. At the age of 13, he moved with his family to Puebla, Puebla, México. Then at 16 years old he emigrated to the United States, reaching U.S. soil on July 15th, 1987.
Cessar attended Santa Ana High School.
In 1989, he joined the California Army National Guard, where his MOS (Military Occupational Specialty) was Aircraft Electrician.
After a long career as a Translator/Interpreter (Spanish), Hypnotist, NLP Master Practitioner and NLP Trainer, Author, Speaker and Coach, he decided to expand his horizons and “sharpen the saw” by joining Glenn Morshower’s The Extra Mile West… and ALSO an Acting Studio!
Cessar has been President of Latin Leaders/Líderes Latinos Toastmasters Club in Santa Ana, California, and President of the Santa Ana Host Lions Club.
He has been the Spanish Anchor for SAUSD-TV’s Education First, a weekly show featuring “A Window into Santa Ana’s Schools,” translating, interviewing, and presenting the content, as well as coaching new talent for the show. In this capacity, Cessar has been fortunate to inverview people from all walks of life, from Harvard-going students to award-winning athletes, and politicians and celebrities, such as Congressman Lou Correa, and Nigel Lithgow, of “So You Think You Can Dance” fame.
Cessar is the announcer for the Annual Educator of the Year Event, and Annual Classified Employees of the Year Event, as well as many other SAUSD soirees.
Cessar has been hand-selected and requested year after year by the Mexican Consulate to be the Master of Ceremonies for the annual “El Grito” Celebration, commemorating The Cry for Independence with an historical re-enactment of the fateful night that started it all in the town of Dolores, Mexico.
In addition, Cessar coordinates and prepares the copy for Announcing the Parade of the Mexican Independence Day in Santa Ana, California, and he hand-picks talent to co-present with him on that day of cultural pride for thousands of people.
